on video 12.8v 200ah LiFePO4 battery for inverter.

 12.8v 200ah LiFePO4 battery for inverter.

How much air conditioning can a 12v 200ah LiFePo4 provide? In this video, I test and review the Redodo 200ah LiFePo4 deep cycle off grid lithium ion battery for solar power and renewable energy applications. After charging from 4 100 watt solar panels outside, the AC will run non-stop for the duration of the test. Of course the test was designed to deliberately drain the battery, with careful use, the air conditioner could run much longer.

One of the most important aspects of any drop-in LiFePo4 12v battery is whether its capacity meets advertised specifications. Some do not. Without a full discharge test, it's impossible to verify manufacturer amp hour capacity claims. I designed a test to nearly completely discharge this 200ah LiFePo4 battery while operating a realistic and real-world load (5000btu air conditioner) without any assistance from solar charging. This simulated cloud conditions or use overnight under heavy loads.

Over voltage protection is also very important. While testing the Redodo battery I deliberately allowed the terminal voltage to rise too high while charging. This confirmed the OVP works as advertised, disconnecting the battery terminals internally to prevent further harm to the battery. Although I hate doing over-voltage charging tests, there is no other way to confirm the capability exists.

If you are interested in the Redodo 200ah LiFePo4 battery, here is a link and discount code. I don't get any commissions for sales, and simply review the product as-is.
