Shell And Tube Heat Exchanger Animation
This video shows simulation of a dry-start for such a shell and tube heat exchanger where cold water entered the tubes at 20°C and hot water entered the shell side at 100°C.
Slight pressurization ensures that the water doesn't boil, and the model predicts the dry-start behavior as well as the resultant outlet temperatures.
Different parts of shell and tube heat exchanger:
1. Tube
2. shell
3. Baffles
4. Tube sheet
5. Front header
6. rear header
7. pass partition plate.
