The appropriate alternator charging voltage should be between 13.80 and 14.40 V (recommended) in the passenger car battery. The voltage value in the batteries of heavy commercial vehicles must be measured separately.
If the voltage value produced by the alternator is lower than the factory value;
sulphation
If the voltage value produced by the alternator is higher than the factory value, an overload occurs.
These conditions significantly reduce battery life.
The circuit I made in this project can be used in 100A-200A batteries by increasing the amp of the relay.
The circuit can be converted to overdischarge protection with a simple operation.
