Calculation of Inductor and Capacitor is very much important for DC-DC converter because of CCM and DCM operation.

A boost converter or step-up converter is a DC-to-DC power converter which steps up voltage (while stepping down current) from its input (supply) to its output (load). This video shows how to design and calculate parameters using boost converter formula and simulate using MATLAB Simulink.
