DC voltage short circuit protection on a 12-volt relay involves incorporating a circuit mechanism to detect and respond to short circuits in the connected load. Typically, this protection is achieved using components such as fuses or circuit breakers that interrupt the current flow in case of a short circuit, preventing damage to the relay and connected devices. The protection mechanism should be designed to respond quickly to short circuits, ensuring the safety and reliability of the 12-volt relay system

  Today in this video I've shown how to make a simple short-circuit protection circuit using a relay. You can use this circuit 6v to 12v battery. But for 12V battery use a 12v relay. The load current depends on the relay's specification.


Components required:

1 x relay (Relay voltage as per your Battery)

2 x led

1 x 1K resistor

1 x push button switch

This electronics video tutorial explains how to build a 12V DC power supply using a 220V AC power source, conventional diodes, zener diodes, capacitors, resistors, and a transformer. The step down transformer brings the 220V AC voltage to 13V AC. The conventional germanium diodes form a full wave bridge rectifier converting AC to DC. The zener diode acts a voltage regulator and the capacitor reduces ripple voltage and converts the pulsating DC wave into a smooth DC output. The series current limiting resistor reduces the surge current that flows through the diode when the capacitor is charging.
