The IGBT used in this circuit has high power dissipation capacity of 500w and also features a high current upto 60A max with voltage more than 200V, it is really efficient and produces less heat than linear regulator.

This circuit is Linear Regulator so it will heat the IGBT very hot. So use good heatsink and a fan if you take high current
