Direct starting is one of the methods of starting asynchronous motors and the simplest, but with one significant drawback:
High current draw at startup; which could cause other devices connected to the same line to malfunction.
Its advantage is that it benefits from good starting torque and allows the engine to start quickly.
Functioning:
As soon as the power is turned on, the red lamp (off lamp) lights up
Pressing the “NO” push button powers the contactor coil; which causes :
-its self-powering via its contact (13-14)
- closure of main contacts
-Motor power supply and its start-up signaled by the green lamp (on) and the red lamp goes out
2- action on the “NC” push button
cuts off the power supply to the contactor coil, the motor stops, signaled by the red lamp.
In the event of a motor fault, the orange signal lamp
