How to turn a fridge compressor into a giant water pump
One of the possible uses of the vacuum pump is to maintain parts with a flat face without having clamps that stick out and can get in the way when sanding or going through the router (to make chamfers on the periphery for example)
Made with:
- a fridge compressor,
- a fire extinguisher for the vacuum reserve (to avoid the constant start-up of the compressor),
- a vacuum gauge (measures the pressure in the circuit)
- a vacuum switch (cuts the compressor when the desired pressure is reached),
The small size of the extinguisher allows me to take the machine to construction sites, but I also have a vacuum reserve in the workshop made with a 100l cumulus recovered from the recycling centre.
