NEW INVENTION LOOK WHAT IT DOES - THE STATO DIODE
The Diodostat is an invention that saw the light of day for the first time on July 20, 2023. The first tests began in March of the same year and the first prototype was finished on May 2. It is a simple device that takes advantage of the voltage drop of normal silicon diodes to regulate the voltage.
The direct voltage drop in a normal silicon diode is 0.7 Volts, this is almost constant regardless of the current that passes through it, this effect is used by the Diostat to regulate voltage by adding X diodes in series, adjusting the mechanical selector to the desired position it is possible to vary the output voltage, the maximum current that can flow through the Diostat is determined by the value of the diodes used in its construction and this must not be exceeded, at the output a fuse must be placed to protect the Diodestat in case of short circuit.
