I made a disc sander with an old washing machine motor. I used a 2000 watt dimmer for the motor. So I can control the emotor speed. I also sanded the edges of this disc sander. Now I have the opportunity to sand round objects. You can also make disc sanders using similar methods and materials.
The washing machine motor consumes 300W.
I would like a little more power, but there are no problems in practical use.
The disadvantage is that continuous operation cannot be performed.
The cooling has been reinforced, but the engine temperature exceeds 90°C in about 8 minutes.
(Engine temperature will reach 120°C in about 10 minutes.)
I attached a temperature sensor to the motor and decided to use it while monitoring the temperature.
