Established in Ligny-en-Barrois since 1981, the Daimler Buses - EvoBus France factory has established itself as one of the essential links in Daimler's international bus and coach production network. By using the most advanced industrial methods while preserving a human dimension, this factory combines the industrial standards of the Daimler group with the possibility of adapting the vehicle to the wishes of each customer.
Daimler Buses – EvoBus France is a key player in the French public transport vehicle market with, in 2018, 29% market share in the segment of vehicles with a GVW of more than 8 tonnes and 47.5% in the segment of vehicles with a GVW of less than 8 tonnes, of which it is the leader.
The company employs nearly 800 people at its various sites in Sarcelles, Vitrolles, Hoerdt, Albi and Ducos*, as well as its factory in Ligny-en-Barrois, which alone has nearly 500 employees. More generally, the Daimler group offers around 4,300 direct jobs in France, which represents one of the strongest industrial commitments of a foreign group in France in the field of automobiles, industrial vehicles and passenger transport.
