Single Phase Full House Wiring Diagram
In the field of DIY, electricity often scares the hobbyist. Still, a little logic is enough. It is of course necessary to know the safety rules and to respect the instructions of the NC C15-100 standard, especially in the bathroom.
Once the basic techniques and rules have been mastered, it is essential to follow the wiring diagrams of the house electrical panel, often offered by major brands of equipment (such as Legrand here).
We group together in this sheet the main diagrams contained in the site which will help you in your installation work to and fro and remote control switch
The installation of lighting controlled by a switch is simple, as long as you respect the color code applied by electricians, as well as the electrical plan of the house.
We start with a junction box from which we pull two wires. The phase wire (red or any other color other than blue - reserved for neutral - or green, yellow, green-yellow - reserved for earth) is the one on which the cut will be made. It is therefore directed towards the switch.
The neutral wire (blue) will join the socket. After passing through the switch, the phase wire changes color to generally adopt brown, black or gray (it can be any color other than those reserved for neutral or earth).
Warning: an earth wire must be available at the socket!
